Interesting spotting! This is a Sphinx Moth Caterpillar, Sphingidae. I often have seen some with were parasited mostly by Braconid Wasps, Braconidae. But usually these parasited caterpillars look quite different with a lot of whitish cocoons on the body from where the wasp larva will hatch with then killing the caterpillar. But I never have seen such a fluffy "design", so I am not sure what organism it is parasited with. I cannot imagine something other than parasites. Let's wait for others to give their inputs into this one...
