American Bullfrog

Lithobates catesbeianus

Description:

There were a bunch of these cute little frogs around the ponds at the park. Most would make a cute little "scream" and jump into the water. But this one sat still long enough for me to get a few shots

Habitat:

Pond, lake

I concur with Ashley, we have a ton of the Pig Frogs around here and they have a much lighter yellowish green underside. They also do not scream, just make pig like sounds

Either pig frog or bullfrog, only way to tell them apart is by looking at the webbing on the back feet, which I'm having issues seeing it well from the angle of the photo. I'm inclined to say bullfrog over pig frog, but I'm not certain of that
