Naupactus rivulosus
About 30mm long.
Found on vegetation between a citrus trees in an orchard on the campus of UNASP Engenheiro Coelho, Brazil.
Further research seems to indicate you are correct. There's a couple of web pics without further information & then I found a paper at: http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=s... discussing weevils of economic importance as citrus pests in the Sao Paulo area with further info.
Jeff, I think we are on the safe side with Rivulosus, I did a little re-search and found this one from Brazil. Before I was on my iPad (where usually I am working for IDing).
