Cretzschmar's Babbler

Turdoides leucocephala

Description:

Cretzschmar's, a.k.a. White-headed Babbler is mainly lighty brown bird with distinctive white head and yellow eyes. Noisy bird, always moves in a group.

Habitat:

Here seen in riparian vegetation of Tuti island - a small inhabited and very rural and agricultural island located at the point where two Niles meet and form The Nile... The island is surrounded by water, and strict urban center on oher shores. Otherwise, this beautiful babbler occurs in a very limited habitats between Sudan, Eritrea and Ethiopia.

Notes:

For my 1500th spotting I decided to go back to my archives, those I still had no time to transfer to NOAH, and to find something relatively rare - this beautiful bird of was a natural choice; because of its very limited distribution, and also because of its rare appearance on project NOAH - this is the second spotting (the first was also mine and it is here: https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/15...)
