Red Whiskered Bul Bul

Pycnonotus jocosus

Description:

Pointed black crest, white cheeks, brown back, Red mark under tail and below eye. Male and females are coloured similarly

Habitat:

Introduced to Australia, but population has never spread very far. Is a regular visitor to my garden in outer western Sydney, as I have a number of trees with berries which the species prefers as food.
