Elisa Pennant

Celithemis elisa

A deep red and black dragonfly with what appear to be a row of hearts along his tail

In a native prairie grass field, within 1/2 a city block of fresh water and woods

I made the early mistake of dubbing this handsome devil a Valentine Dragon and now that's all I can ever remember him by. Grrr Both the male and female of this species put a huge smile on my face. They're both so beautiful in their own unique coloration and both are very approachable and camera friendly although the male has been more so for me to date. LOVE these guys! <3
