Green Lacewing Larva

Chrysopa perla

Description:

This strange little creature was mistaken for an ant carrying a huge load at first, as we watched the load toddle along obscuring the insect. But the its white legs became visible and a mystery was born. Some sort of larvae breaking free of its pod? I'd love to understand the relationship of the insect and the white sponges pod.
