Description:

New Polistes sp. paper wasp nest. An egg is visible (see the last photo).

Habitat:

Nest on cactus (Cereus repandus) near house located in a large, semi-urban yard & garden, in close proximity to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest.

Notes:

These wasps are very tolerant of me shoving my lens into their personal space!
