Auricularia sp.

Description:

Small, cup like, brown fungi growing on the bark of a dry branch. They have an oval shape, and its inner side skin looks like velvet.

You're right Sergio - I would stick to genus too. Sorry about that - got a little carried away !

Thank you very much for this ID, Leuba. It really looks like a Auricularia fungus. The problem is that A. cornea seems to grow in Australia, New Zealand and some south Pacific islands. So, I'll keep the genus, until I find more about brazilian Auricularia fungi.
