Lamington Spiny Crayfish

Euastacus sulcatus

Description:

Blue & white in colour. About 10cm long.

Habitat:

According to the Queensland museum it is restricted to streams bordered by rainforest altitudes above 300m. We saw this on in Lamington National Park.

Notes:

The Crayfish walked up onto the bank & found itself a green leaf. It carried it back to the water to eat it. There were a number of crayfish in the stream.
