May Beetle

Phyllophaga sp.

Description:

I went into the garage, at 5:30 a.m. in the morning, to take the garbage out. It was very cold, inside this garage, at this hour of the morning. I looked down at the garage floor, and I saw one, expired insect, lying on the garage floor. I picked up this insect with my fingers, and I brought it inside my house with me, so I could take some photos of it. Note: ( I brought this insect inside my house with me, because the inside of this garage, was very cold, and the inside of my house, was nice and warm ). The color of this insect, was different shades of brown. This insect, was six eights of an inch long, and three eights of an inch wide. This insect, had six jointed legs.

Habitat:

This insect, was living inside my garage, on the floor.

Notes:

I spotted this insect, lying on this garage floor, at 5:30 a.m. in the morning. This insect, had expired.

May beetles are mostly nocturnal. They are also attracted to light and I mostly find them flying around my lightbulb. I also used to play with these when I was a child. :)

These guys are pretty common around where I'm from but the colors are different. I've seen a green one, a kinda white one and a brown one. Probably of the same species. They're magnificent and i love holding them. They gave these strange tingling sensation.
