The termite nest from http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/129... after about 8 months.
Observed on a girdled (ketapang/Terminalia catappa?) tree in a large semi-urban yard & garden, on the border of a disturbed patch of remnant forest. This is in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
