Description:

reddish-browb puffball supported by a tower composed of a network of gelatinised strands. The outer layer is a cap that falls off to reveal the thin walled, orange mouthed sac that containes the spores.

Habitat:

Soil inhabiting Dries small and hard but revives when moistened. Single or in clusters; locally abundant.
