Eight-spotted Forester

Alypia octomaculata

I found this diurnal Eight-spotted Forester moth at Mary's Peak in Benton, Oregon.

It was pollinating in a field of oxeye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) flowers near a wooded area.

Spotted by Dominique Eghlidi for Mothapalooza 2015.
