Description:

A small member of the Old-world flycatcher family. The male, pictured here in winter plumage, has a prominent black patch on the cheek and neck that extends to the shoulders and wings. The cap, back and top of the chest is sand coloured. The black tail is a typical ID feature of this species (male and female).

Habitat:

Found in an irrigated farm area in the middle of Qatar.
