Bright blue bird with head crest; black and white spots and bars on wings. Black necklace with whitish face and underparts. Travels in small groups.

Habitat:

Deciduous, mixed, and coniferous forests, gardens, and parks.

Notes:

I have seen this species year-round but more commonly in winter.
