Congratulations Chris, this lovely little bird has earned you spotting of the day!

The robin’s melodious voice and cheeky attitude, has endeared it to the British, who voted it the UK’s National bird. Many red-breasted birds across the world were named “robins” by European settlers in honor of this small but distinctive garden favorite.

You know this little guy offered itself up for a photo as we walked by. I just caught him out of the corner of my eye. There we were with about 3 metres between ourselves, one of us wondering how the hell to lift the camera up, change the ISO and shutter speed and take a photo whereas the other was looking for a quick exit. A lovely moment which made me smile.
