Slender-billed Parakeet

Enicognathus leptorhynchus

Description:

Their common name is Choroy (Chile), Slender-billed parrakeet. Its a native bird of Chile, very similar to E.ferrugineus, but E.leptorhynchus have a longer peak and is larger than the first one.

Habitat:

Bird of the native jungles over 2000 meters.

Notes:

Este individuo cuyo nombre es Ayelén (alegría en mapudungún) en especial tuvo un vinculo muy especial conmigo, ya que estaba destinado a un proyecto de educación ambiental orientado a colegios de la Región de los Ríos del cual yo participo.
