Weawer's Fritillary

Description:

There are about 30 Clossiana species, distributed variously across the Holarctic region. Males of all species are bright orange, with black spots, bars and submarginal chevrons or crescents. Females are generally duller in colour, and often more reddish than the males. The undersides of all species are marbled on orange and pale yellow, and have silvery-white markings on the hindwings.
