Rock wren

Salpinctes obsoletus

Description:

A small wren with gray-brown upperparts and pale grey underparts with a light brown rump. There is a light gray eye streak above the eye. The thin bill is slightly down-curved and has a long barred tail (pic 5).

Habitat:

Spotted on rocks at the Ancient Lakes in eastern Washington.
