Euphoria Beetle

Euphoria geminata (Chevrolat, 1835) var. black

Description:

Family Scarabaeidae Euphoria is a genus of scarab beetles in the subfamiliy Cetoniinae, the flowers chafers. They are native to the Americas , wjere they are distributed from Canada to Argentina, They are most diverse in Mexico and Central America. As in 2012, there are about 59 species in the genus.

Notes:

I found him perched on only one occasion on a sheet of high grass. Cohabits with anoter species of the same genus but in this case Euphoria geminata.
