Reddish Wave Moth

Scopula rubraria

Description:

1.5-2cm across the wings. Brown upper wings with reddish under wings. Wings held to show under wings

Habitat:

Mid-summer, nocturnal visitor to a public phone booth. Attracted by the lights

Notes:

I have emailed the guy at pbase who took the picture to ask how he identified the moth but will go with it for now. I expect it will be fine.

You are welcome - I do not have any hard scientific web sources for your area, so had to look around. The light from the phone booth may be shifting your colors too. Welcome to "What's That Moth" There are lots of experts here in PN so be brave and put them up. :)
