Lantana camara L. (Family Verbenaceae) is both considered as a notorious weed and a popular ornamental plant. It is listed as one of the important medicinal plants in the Philippines. L. camara contains lantadenes, the pentacyclic triterpenes which is reported to possess a number of useful biological activities . Several previous reports have described antifungal, antibacterial, insecticidal and nematicidal activity of the plant.
I'll be using this in our research study. ;)
