Spotting

Description:

Small with dark brown feathers on its back. Light brown feathers underneath and a little bit of yellow feathers as well

Notes:

The day after a big snow storm about 7-9 of these birds were eating red berries from a tree outside my window.

You're fortunate enough to have Pine Grosbeaks visiting you. They are usually far northern birds, but every few years they come south. This winter they've been seen all over New England. The mature males are rather bright pink while the females and immatures are varying shades of brown.
