Description:

This is the same organism as in this spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/132... ; only five months later on, and in mid winter. At first, these looks like a small drops, later on taking a form of a cup, and in the end a leathery wrinkled ear, some 2,5 cm in diameter. Dark purple or brown in color. Grows in small groups on dead log.

Habitat:

Town park, edge of wooded area, growing on a dead log, exposed to sunlight. Foothills of Jura mountains.
