Red tailed black Cockatoo

Calyptorhynchus magnificus

Description:

Large black glossy cockatoo with either red or barred orange on the tail panels. Male is black all over with red tail panels, bill dark grey. Female is black with yellow spots, yellow bars on underparts, orange yellow tail panels with black bars, bill whitish.

Habitat:

Common in woodlands and along wooded water courses in arid country.
