Description:

An unidentified fly, order Diptera, probably (ulidiidae) with a thick, snout-like proboscis.

Habitat:

Observed on a stem of cassava (Manihot esculenta) in a garden within a large yard, next to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest.
