Northern Red-bellied Snake

Storeria occipitomaculata occipitomaculata

Notes:

Northern Red-bellied Snakes come in two color phases, gray and brown. I found one of each color under a rock in my yard. They were curled up next to each other. These are small and very docile snakes that I have never seen bite or even look defensive.
