Gaillardia aristata
A perennial wildflower in the sunflower family. A bright reddish purple center radiating out to the petals and becoming yellow at the tips. About 60 cm tall with lance-shaped leaves near the base.
Spotted near the Freestone lake in north central Washington state. Native to north and western North America.
Some Plateau Indian tribes used blanketflower to treat wounds and settle fevers. (Wikipedia)
