Clouded Tiger Moth

Creatonotos transiens

Description:

Whitish moth. Black legs. rows of dots on abdomen. Touch of yellow.

Habitat:

Spotted on the netting meant to keep out mosquitoes. It was clinging to the net but it did not move when I approached it. So I touched it and it came away easily. It was dead! The interesting fact is that it had not been there the first time i walked past...so evidently it had flown in...to die? Very wierd.
