Claire, I posted a tern today and put it in your mission. Can you give your ID input on it? I am thinking it is a common tern, but it also looks like an Arctic. I would be a little surprised to see an Arctic Tern in mid-may on Longboat Key with a black cap.
Glad you enjoyed my comment. :)
We haven't met :) I have tried to introduce myself to the birders since I registered for the bird alerts. So far, I have met Daryl, who you would know who has the nature show, and also, thankfully, was able to run into Jeff Fisher on his lunch hour at his favorite park.
I seem to have just been posting when I need ID help or to help others with IDs.
Yes, see you in the field!

I'll be interested to see your posts on PN. I'll try to look up your moth pretty soon. I'm wondering if I have ever met you. Glad you're into birding in Sarasota; perhaps I'll see you in the field!
Thanks for the comment, that's very kind.
Ms. Herzog, it is very nice to have you put yourself down as my follower after I followed you! Especially because I read your posts on bird alerts here in the area and have enjoyed looking at all of your pictures that would help me learn more. May you keep enjoying your retirement. Not only do you have enthusiasm for tracking birds and viewing nature, you take great pictures too! May you be encouraged by this comment.
