The red admiral butterfly (Vanessa atalanta) it is eating had just barely hit the screen when the lizard leaped from the shadows and grabbed it.

Thanks, Bernadette; it's amazing what these skinny fellows will tackle. I saw one once grab a just emerged giant swallowtail butterfly.
