Description:

Five pairs of spots along abdomen. (Unfortunately, top row of spots not visible in my photo.)

Notes:

Found throughout eastern North America, but more common in the southern US, especially along the Gulf Coast. Caterpillars feed on tomato, tobacco and other related plants in Family Solanaceae. (BugGuide: http://bugguide.net/node/view/5011)
