Description:

Non-venomous snake of about 60 cm long. The head is oval-shaped, relatively small in proportion to the body . Usually gray, varied from reddish tones to grey smoke. Spots aligned longitudinally as brown spots bordered in black, which can appear very diffuse. The pileus is dark. Very characteristic of this species is the presence of a line, brown or black, which runs along the sides of the head; It starts in the nostrils, surrounds the eye below and extends to the neck. It is aglyphous, with teeth are not specialized, especially whose teeth lack grooves for venom. with poison glands, but which may not inoculate their dentition. The females have one length greater than the males.
