Description:

Cap 1-4 inches, wide convex to nearly flat. Dry smooth or fiberous to wooly. White to grayish or gray brown gills. Partial veil leaving thin evanescent ring on stalk. Did not sniff it to see if it had an odor.

Habitat:

scattered to abundant in grassy areas throughout NA.
