Pluvialis squatarola
medium sized shore bird with a distingt eye stripe ,seen at Bolsa Chica Wetlands.
Ashley ,I will go with black bellied plover. The pacific golden plover is rare during this time of the year.
It's either a pacific golden plover, american golden plover, or black bellied plover. I am no good at telling immatures/non-breeding plumaged ones apart!
