Sugar ants on Corymbia

Description:

Red flowering gums from Western Australia provide a good feed of nectar to a local species of ant. Ants about 8mm long.

Habitat:

Planted Corymbia sp. in a local sports reserve.

Thanks Arya and Sckel. Yes you're probably right with camponotus... I will search a bit later today ...and anything walking in my ear would need a chainsaw these days. 8-/
