Red-Winged Starling

Onychognathus morio

Description:

A large black starling with a long, graduated tail and rufous primaries that are conspicuous in flight. Male all glossy black, adult female has head and upper breast lead-grey.

Habitat:

Common resident in in rocky ravines, cliffs and suburbia. It may nest on sheltered ledges of tall buildings .
