Tachnid Fly

Tachinid family

Description:

small grey fly the size of a house fly

Habitat:

On a tree trunk in remnant pocket of bush in a suburban area

Notes:

This may be another of the Dexiin flies possibly Rutilotrixa lateralis. The habitat is the same as the long tongue dexin fly. The behaviour when threatened is the same so there is good evidence to support a related species
