Tiger Moth, laying eggs

Hypercompe sp.

Description:

In the 1st and 2nd picture you can see how she laid an egg. On February 13th I found this Moth on the floor, I place it away from the wind on one of the house teak log. On February 17th she started laying eggs. It has been placing eggs in separate places of the log every day, now there are seven groups of eggs and it looks as if she is done...will keep an eye on them.

Erebidae, Arctiinae, Arctiini, Hypercompe sp., I try to get closer later...

Mark Ridgway, I am just beginning to understand these Moth.... I saw the same thing before, they hatch in a metal fence!! and the eggs hatch in the windy season, all the tiny caterpillars were blown away by the high winds?!! Right now it is windy season here again. I am recording this events as I believe that is the way they get their species going.
