Red Reef Lobster

Enoplometopus occidentalis

Description:

Small Lobster, red in colour with hairy body and claws. Also called Hawaiian Red Lobster, Red Dwarf Reef Lobster, Red Reef Lobster. They are nocturnal and doesn't like lights. When light is shine on them, they quickly shy away and hide.

Habitat:

They usually lives under rocks, crevices and caves up to depth of 100 meters.

Notes:

Unfortunately, this species is a highly prized species in the aquarium trade industry, each individual fetching the price of around US$30. New Organism to Project Noah.
