Canis latrans
The coyote has grayish-brown to yellowish-brown fur on top and whitish fur on its underparts. It has large triangular ears on the top of its head and a long, narrow muzzle. It has a black nose; yellow eyes; and a long, bushy tail. One way to tell the coyote apart from wolves and dogs is to watch its tail when it runs. The coyote runs with its tail down. Dogs run with their tails up, and wolves run with their tails straight out.

Thanks Maria dB and Hemma. :)
amazing, Gators!! Congrats and thanks for sharing!
Great capture!
I was so excited, I could hardly take the photo. :)
Great spotting Gatorfellws! How lucky to have the chance to see it. I have seen a couple my self but only once I had the cammera ready.
Thanks EnvUnlimited. This one and its mate see to be in very good condition. Lots of meals in the meadows. I love to find the flattened trails in the tall grass.
Yes they do love to howl when they find something. They love to come to feast on the ripe persimmons in this meadow. this is one of two that I see on occasion. Finally had the camera with me at the right time.
Beautiful, gatorfellows! I love these guys! Such a cryptic noise they make at night. :)
