Agrotis gladiaria
It is a medium sized moth in the family (Noctuidae). This moth has brownish green scaling with many typical patterns of a moth in the family (Agrotis). This one was a female with slender antennae while males have broader ones.
Suburban, Fort Worth, Texas. Found at low elevation backyard around a 40 watt black light.
It is found in south-eastern Canada from Nova Scotia to Ontario and in the United States from Maine to the panhandle of Florida, west to eastern Texas, eastern Kansas, eastern Nebraska, southern Wisconsin and Michigan. Spotted for Moth week.
