Small Skipper. Brown with yellow markings. Males of this species are considerably more yellow. Skippers have distinctive body shape and antennae. They are related to butterflies and moths but are in their own scientific family.

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. Resting on a plant in the gardens.
