Thank you (if you hadn't corrected that, I'm sure my husband would have!). I continue to learn something new every day. This was my only spotting listed this way. The others were listed correctly.

When writing scientific names, only the genus is capitalized and NEVER is the specific epithet capitalized. So the correct way to write the scientific name for the barred owl is Strix varia and not Strix Varia. Please correct all of you spottings to reflect the correct notation.
