Description:

The Great crested grebe, seen here in its winter plumage, is the largest and most familiar grebe in Europe.It spends most of its time on open waters and nests in areas with reeds.

Habitat:

The shores of a large central European lake. Year-round resident.

Notes:

Part of a large group of birds fishing on the same spot.
