European Starling

Sturnus vulgarius

Description:

Speckled black body, yellow bill, and short tail. I was surprised to have these visitors at my feeder. They especially enjoyed the crunchy peanut butter smeared on the side of the feeder. I had not seen Starlings for a long time. I notice their winter coats are prettier than their Summertime.

Habitat:

A communal bird Often, an abundant pest in City parks, Suburbs and farms. Imitates bird songs. The bird's normal voice is squeaky

Brrr! Even your starlings look cold! How are you doing? We are having a very mild winter so far.
