I think this is a gum tip wilter bug and not a carnivore. There are several to chose from http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/903... Coreidae rather than Reduviidae (assassin bugs)

Thanks Luis. There's really not much wildlife around at the moment. I suspect even these guys are struggling to find a feed. I'm sick of drought.
