Description:

Bright red fungi with long tentacle like protrusions make up the fruiting body of the fungi. The stalk is a more white colour.

Habitat:

Growing in decaying leaf litter on the side of a walking track.

Notes:

Counted 3 fungi all up growing within a metre radius of each other.

Nice photo Emma but they are still disgusting. I found several within the wood mulch around a small tree. They are supposed to smell foul but I didn't really notice that. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/115...
