Description:

Adults are easily recognized with their brown plumage along with white heads and tails. They have large yellow hooked beaks. Considered the largest true raptor in North America.

Habitat:

Spotted at Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon.

nice. I have seen so many kinds of eagles in my travels, but the iconic bald eagle has always eluded me. maybe one of these days.
